Hackathon on Design Thinking and Innovation
AKI Global successfully organized a Special International Session on Design Thinking and Innovation at one of its premier management institutes, marking a significant step toward strengthening global academic collaboration and experiential learning.
The session witnessed the gracious presence of the CEOs and Partners of RIVIA, Spain—Ms. Elisa Cano, Ms. Irati Amondarain, Ms. Paula Goitia, and Ms. Leire Eiguren—a dynamic and visionary team associated with the globally renowned Mondragon Cooperative Group. Their visit to India was part of an international initiative aimed at promoting Design Thinking as a powerful tool for creativity, collaboration, and innovative problem-solving.
The program commenced with a warm welcome extended to the distinguished international guests, faculty members, and students. AKI Global reiterated its commitment to fostering education that extends beyond conventional classroom learning by providing global exposure and hands-on experiential opportunities.
As a mark of respect and appreciation, the General Secretary of AKI Trust, Mr. Hani Farid, felicitated the esteemed international guests in the presence of the Chairman of PIMSE, Dr. Hanif Lakdawala, Director of PIMSE, Dr. Porinita Banerjee, along with faculty members. The felicitation ceremony reflected the institution's strong emphasis on international partnerships and collaborative academic engagement.
During their interaction with the students of the management institute, the RIVIA team conducted an immersive workshop using a Hackathon-oriented approach. This enabled participants to apply Design Thinking methodologies through hands-on activities, experimentation, and innovative problem-solving exercises. The globally tested methodology—successfully implemented in Spain, Berlin, and New York—provided students with valuable practical exposure and a broader global perspective.
The session proved to be an enriching experience for both students and faculty, reinforcing AKI Global's vision of promoting innovation-driven education, experiential learning, and international engagement.
The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Management of AKI Trust and the international experts from RIVIA for their collective efforts in making the event meaningful and memorable.
